Central and State Government employees are on strike today ( 30th October 2007)
Employees demanding atleast 1000 Rs. should be given to them as intrim relief from January 1, 2006., until sixth pay commission report comes.
Strike is also resisting outsourcing of government jobs / contractual jobs / Downsizing Dapartment / Ban on creation of new posts.
( A question : Where will the young common graduate go, only IT enabled job increases)
They are calling it as a - strike against Anti-people & Anti - employee ploicies should be checked.

The present scale of Group B orricers as Assistant Engineer in railways
a)7500-250-12000.
and
After completion of 3 years and 80%of group B officers will get the following scale which is onpar with direct group A entry officers as Assistant engineer.
b)8000-275-13500.
Where as in report of 6th pay commission the present scales rangingin from 80000-275-13500 to 5000-150-8000(GRoup B gaztetted Assistant engineer (of direct entry Group A assistant engineers scales),supervisors and master craftsmen grade)all are put into a new scale of Rs.8700-34800. And a new scale was created for direct Group A assistant Engineers which is Rs.15600-39100. Actually the Assistant Engineers in Group B officers of (above b) also needs to be put in to the newly created scale i.e.15600-39100.
It is essential to justify the same and not to depress the group B officers of railways of scale as said(above b) needs kind vision of this subject please
